What is a Giclée Print?
All our prints available are giclée prints, often known as archival pigment prints.
Giclée is a fine art printing method using specialist archival pigment inks on acid-free papers resulting in gallery-quality inkjet prints which are widely accepted by art-buyers, galleries and museums as archival collectable pieces. With advanced depth of colour, giclée prints have been proven to outlast a lithographic print and other technologies by up to six times.
All our prints are printed on Fotospeed Xpression Smooth 300gsm heavyweight paper, which is a premium feeling lightly textured surface closely recreating the original artwork.
Looking after your Giclée Print
Handle artwork as you would with an original ensuring you have dry, clean hands. Avoid touching the ink holding the print by its edges.
We recommend the artwork is framed using acid-free materials for mounts and backing, as this will add to the life of the print. Non-reflective glass, ideally UV protected, will also preserve the print. Always display your print away from direct sunlight and humid spaces.
